Moniteau County man charged with statutory rape, attempted sodomy

A Moniteau County man has been charged with statutory rape and attempted sodomy after troopers were made aware of child molestation allegations.

Troopers said their initial information was that three children around the ages of 9 had been molested.

One victim told officers that James White would force her to perform sexual acts.

Another victim told troopers that White made her go to the bathroom where he began to touch himself but before anything else happened the girl was able to get out of the room.

White was also accused of raping at least two of the three victims.

White told officers that one of the victims had performed the sexual acts on him on her own accord.

According to public jail records, White is currently in the Moberly Correctional Center with a bond set at $500,000.
