Wanted New Bloomfield man arrested in drug bust

A traffic stop in the 3300 block of Clark Lane led to the arrest of a man with several active warrants.

Columbia police said it happened just after 2 p.m. Tuesday when a passenger in the vehicle gave a fake name and information to police.

Officers found the man was 44-year-old Lance Stout of New Bloomfield, who had two active arrest warrants.

When police searched the vehicle, they said they found illegal pills, marijuana, a digital scale and other items used for distributing and consuming drugs.

Inside a compartment of the truck, officers said they found methamphetamine, suboxone and Stout’s wallet.

Stout was arrested on suspicion of felony distribution/delivery/manufacture/production of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear on a driving under revocation charge and a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear on the original charge of driving under revocation.

Stout’s combined bond amount is more than $11,000.
