Callaway County deputies announce drug take back event

A spokesperson for the Callaway County Sheriff’s Department announced on Tuesday they would be partnering with the Callaway County Water District #2 to promote the local National Prescription Drug Take Back program.

The event will be held on April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Water District office.

Citizens are asked to take advantage of the opportunity to properly discard of medications.

Deputies said these events enhance both public and environmental safety.
