Two men charged with trafficking drugs after police find more than 90 pounds of marijuana

Jefferson City police arrested two men on Friday after officers found more than 90 pounds of marijuana.

Police were sent to Rodney Parham’s residence and found Parham and Kevin Reese inside.

Officers found a set of keys to a Ford Focus that was parked outside of the residence. Reese claimed his girlfriend had rented the car and willingly gave consent for police to search the vehicle.

When police searched the car, they found 91 pounds of marijuana. Officers also found another pound of marijuana and approximately 41 grams of cocaine in the living room.

Reese told officers he left the car with Parham on Thursday. Reese said he did have any knowledge about the marijuana and cocaine that was found in the living room and the car.

Parham admitted to police that he used marijuana and cocaine but he declined any knowledge about the drugs found in the living room and the car.

According to the probable cause statement, Parham is on probation and continues to involve himself in drug activity.

Parham and Reese were charged with trafficking drugs.
