Callaway County deputies arrest felon after finding guns and silencer

Callaway County deputies arrested Brett Welsh on Monday after officers saw him driving on State Road Z with a revoked driver’s license.

Deputies searched Welsh’s car and found two guns and a silencer. Welsh is a convicted felon and is not allowed to have firearms.

Welsh was taken to the Callaway County Jail and faces possible charges unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of an illegal weapon and driving while revoked.

Officers said the investigation is ongoing.
