Hundreds lose power north of Columbia

More than 500 Boone Electric Cooperative customers were without power Saturday night.

The outage happened off Highway VV near Botner Road. According to Boone Electric’s outage map, the outage happened at 7:30 p.m.

Crews were on scene working to restore power as of 10:30 p.m. ABC 17 News crews reported seeing a truck crashed into a power pole.

ABC 17 News is working to confirm if the truck caused the outage and when power is expected to be restored.
