Freezing drizzle & snow tonight, followed by more above average temps for midweek.
TONIGHT : Freezing drizzle & light snow will develop across the area tonight. As we begin to cool the upper portions of the atmosphere, we should see a change over to all snow by 1AM. There’s a possibility that we could see up to an inch of snow across the I-70 corridor, but the freezing drizzle and icing conditions will cause the bigger issue on travel. Lows will drop into the middle teens with wind chills in the single digits.
SUNDAY: We’ll have have light snow tapering off by the early morning but the clouds will hang around well into the afternoon. We may see the sun peek through by the early evening hours, but the cold will hold strong throughout the day with temperatures hovering in the upper 20s.
EXTENDED: Thankfully winter will release it’s grasp on the area headed into this week. Temperatures will be on the rebound as we see the sun returning by Monday. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday look to be great days to get outdoors as temperatures will be running above average once again. Watch ABC 17 News for the newest forecast and check back here for updates.
