Water main ruptures in Moberly, four blocks put on boil advisory

A water main break in 100 block of Rollins street in Moberly caused the city to issue a 48-hour boil advisory for four blocks of the city Saturday morning.

Those in the 300 and 400 blocks of West Rollins, the 100 block of North Williams and the 100 block of North Fourth are advised to boil water before consumption while the advisory is in place.

The break occurred around 10 p.m. Friday, according to the announcement made by the Moberly Utilities Department, and was repaired shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday.

Shortly before the break another boil order, which had been previously issued for the entire city of Moberly, was lifted at 9:00 p.m.
