Osage County deputies arrest man accused of hitting officer with block of wood

Osage County deputies arrested Zachary Lansford, 19, on Thursday after officers responded to a disturbance in progress.

Deputies said when they arrived on scene, they saw Lansford beating a camper with a 2×4.

Officers said they tried to take Lansford to the ground but a struggle began. Lansford was accused of hitting a deputy in the jaw with the 2×4.

Deputies said they regained control of Lansford and was taken into custody.

Lansford was charged with property damage, resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer.

Officers said the injured deputy will be ok.
