Holts Summit man charged with statutory sodomy

The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Michael Maute, 22, with felony statutory sodomy and furnishing pornographic material to a minor.

Deputies said the charges are a result of an investigation involving child sexual abuse that was initiated on Jan. 5 at a residence near Holts Summit.

Maute is currently in the Callaway County Jail for the offenses, in addition to a felony Cole County warrant for probation violation. He is being held without bond.
