Columbia library scheduled to close Tuesday morning for water line repairs

The Columbia Public Library will be closed on Tuesday morning for water line repairs, officials announced on Friday.

Library officials said the Columbia Water and Light Department would be working on water lines near the library in the morning. During the repair, the library will not have water until the crew is finished.

The work is expected to be done by midday on Tuesday and the library is scheduled to open at 1 p.m.

Library officials said all morning programs have been canceled.

City officials also ask patrons to not drink the water at the library for at least 24 hours after the repair is completed.

The City said they will provide water bottles for the library employees and patrons.
