Ameren crews arrive in Puerto Rico to continue power restoration efforts

75 Ameren Missouri and Illinois employees arrived in Puerto Rico on Friday afternoon.

Crews brought trucks and equipment to help restore power to more than 500,000 residents. They will be focusing their restoration efforts on an 80-mile circuit in the Carolina region of Puerto Rico.

The Ameren Missouri crew has people from all parts of the state participating in the restoration.

Ameren officials said power had previously been restored to one million customers in the Puerto Rico area.
