Pulaski County deputies take woman into custody after officers find man with stab wounds to the head

Pulaski County deputies took a woman into custody on Thursday morning after officers responded to the 25000 block of Swindell Drive for reports of a domestic altercation.

Deputies said when they arrived on scene, they found a 44-year-old man with severe knife wounds to the head area and a 44-year-old woman with a knife wound to her hand.

The man was taken to a Springfield area hospital and the woman was taken into custody and taken to the Lebanon Hospital.

Officers said once the woman is released from the hospital she will be booked in the Pulaski County Jail. The county prosecutor is requesting charges for domestic assault and armed criminal action.

Deputies said the investigation is on-going.
