Suspects in multi-county chase, shooting now charged with burglary

Callaway County deputies announced on Thursday that Russell Moore, 27 and Victoria Buol, 25, have been charged with burglary.

ABC17 News previously reported that Moore and Buol were charged with leading law enforcement on a chase which started in Columbia and ended in Callaway County. They were accused of shooting at officers and semi-trucks.

Deputies said the charges are the result of an extensive investigation conducted in March and April of 2016.

Officers said Moore and Buol were accused of multiple residential burglaries and vehicle thefts in several locations around the county.

During the investigation, numerous stolen items and vehicles were recovered.

Deputies said the charges had to be deferred because of the on-going federal prosecution.

Moore was also charged with six counts of receiving stolen property and tampering with a motor vehicle.

Buol was also charged with two counts of receiving stolen property.

Moore and Buol are currently in federal custody.
