Mizzou struggles at home, loses to No. 19 Auburn

The Mizzou basketball team has lost two straight games for the first time this season. No. 19 Auburn beat the Tigers 91-73 at Mizzou Arena. MU moves to 13-7 overall and 3-4 in the SEC.

The Tigers shot just 40 percent from the field. Senior Jordan Barnett was a bright spot. He scored 19 points on 7-10 shooting.

Freshman Center Jeremiah Tilmon found himself in foul trouble once again, picking up his fourth foul early on in the second half. He played just seven minutes, and he did not attempt a single shot.

Mizzou trimmed the lead down to just one point early on in the second half, but Auburn took control after a quick timeout by head coach Bruce Pearl. Auburn outscored MU 50-37 in the second half.

Auburn scored 24 points off Mizzou’s 20 turnovers. Auburn also blocked nine shots.

Up next, Mizzou will take on Mississippi State on the road on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
