UPDATE: SILVER Advisory cancelled for Columbia woman

UPDATE – 12:45 A.M.: The endangered SILVER advisory for 79-year-old Lynda Smith was canceled just shortly after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to Boone County authorities, the woman was found safe and will soon be back in the care of family members.

ORIGINAL: An endangered SILVER advisory has been issued for Lynda S. Smith, 79, of Columbia.

Smith is described as a white woman, five feet and one inch tall, 105 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. It’s unknown what kind of clothing she is wearing, but she only has one shoe.

According to the advisory, Smith has one leg that is longer than the other, causing her to limp. She has some medical conditions, including dementia.

Smith could be in a silver 2007 Cadillac Escalade with Missouri license plate “SN6Z6G.”

Smith left her home Tuesday morning for a medical appointment, but never arrived and hasn’t been seen since.
