Suspect in Waffle House shooting transferred to Boone County Jail

Matthew McMillan, the suspect that was arrested in connection to the Waffle House shooting, has been transferred to the Boone County Jail.

Police said McMillan, 29, of Columbia was found in Kansas City on Saturday, and was arrested by the Kansas City Police Department on an outstanding felony warrant.

Columbia Police officers responded to the Waffle House, located at 904 Vandiver Drive, at 1:49 a.m. on New Year’s after receiving reports of a disturbance. As officers were arriving, Boone County Joint Communication officials advised officers that victims with gunshot wounds had arrived at a local hospital by personal vehicles.
