Seasonal night, with spring tease in the works

TONIGHT: It will be a chilly, yet seasonal night under partly cloudy skies as temperatures drop into the mid 20s by morning. Thankfully, no breezy conditions are expected through the evening, as winds will die down out of the west under 10 mph. This will lead to wind chill values in the mid 10s by tomorrow morning.

WEDNESDAY: While it will be a chilly and partly cloudy start to the day, sunshine will arrive by the afternoon hours. That accompanied with westerly winds up to 13 mph will warm us into the mid 40s across Mid-Missouri. This will begin a nice warming tease that will carry us through the rest of the week.

EXTENDED: Even warmer conditions are expected Thursday into Friday, as an upper level ridge begins to nose into the region. Windy conditions will also be present Friday, as our next system begins to take shape. Late Friday evening into Saturday morning, another cold front will track through the region and bring a slight chance of rain. Right now it looks the best chance will be along and south of Hwy 50. As the rain comes to an end, we’ll see a return to cooler conditions, with overnight lows back in the teens and 20s, with afternoon highs in the 40s.
