Miller County man charged with animal abuse after his dog bites neighbor

A Miller County man has been charged with animal abuse after his dog attacked a neighbor.

According to the probable cause statement, the victim had to take her dog to the emergency vet after being bitten by Joseph Angel’s pitbull.

Deputies said the victim’s dog had been bit on the face and had gotten an infection.

Later that day, the victim called officers again after the pitbull attacked the dog and herself for the second time. The victim said she sustained injuries to her wrist and hand.

The victim also told deputies that Angel had three dogs that frequently wandered to her house and that she had taken them back to his house multiple times over the period of months.

The victim said she contacted a friend who shot the aggressive pitbull.

Angel was also charged with possession of dog that bites people.
