Wind chill advisory in effect today and again tonight

MLK DAY: With snow exiting the area, temperatures will be falling into the middle-teens by the time we get to the afternoon hours with breezy conditions throughout the day. Winds will be out of the northwest at 10-20 mph, gusting to near 30 mph at times. You will need extra layers as wind chills will be below zero for the majority day with clouds hanging around.

MONDAY NIGHT: A wind chill advisory will go into effect starting at 6pm and last through Tuesday morning. We’re going to see dangerous arctic cold across the area, with air temperatures below zero, and wind chills -15 to -25 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.Make sure to bundle up in layers out the door Tuesday morning!

EXTENDED: The bitterly cold weather pattern will continue Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the teens on Tuesday and low 20s Wednesday. We will remain dry and sunny, but we don’t see major improvements until Thursday. We moderate into the low 40s by the end of the work week and even into the 50s by the weekend.
