Columbia police arrest suspect in October Business Loop shooting

UPDATE 4:50 pm: Shephard has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest in connection to the triple-shooting.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police arrested Lorenzo Shephard, 22, in reference to an October shooting that happened near the Ruckus Bar and Grill.

ABC17 previously reported that three people had been shot near the parking lot of the grill. All three victims have non life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, officers said they got information that one of the shooters was Shephard.

Police said they reviewed surveillance footage and saw a suspect that matched the description of Shephard.

On Thursday, officers said they saw a car that was believed to be connected to Shephard pull into a parking lot in the 3000 block of S. Providence Road.

Police said Shephard ran from the area and a foot pursuit began but he was eventually caught in the 500 block of Green Meadows Road.

Shepahrd faces possible charges of unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest.
