Inmate dies at Jefferson City Correctional Facility, authorities do not suspect foul play

A spokesperson for the Missouri Department of Corrections announced that offender William Jones, 70, was pronounced dead on Monday at a local hospital.

Jones was confined at the Jefferson City Correctional Center and was serving life for first-degree murder from Greene County.

Jones was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections in 2013.

The department does not suspect foul play but an autopsy will be performed.
