Parts of Callaway County under 2-day boil advisory

The Callaway 2 Water District issued a 48-hour voluntary boil advisory Sunday for customers living in the following areas:

-Along and adjacent to County Roads 101, 103 and 104
-State Route UU from County Road 101 to Fulton city limits
-Route O from Fulton city limits to Auxvasse Creek

The boil advisory also includes the Greystone, Nature View and Shady Hills subdivisions.

The Water District did not provide a reason for the voluntary boil advisory.

Precautions that should be taken under a voluntary boil advisory include:

1. Boilwater vigorously for three minutes prior to use.
2. Do not use ice from an automated ice maker.
3. Disinfect dishes and other food contact surfaces by immersion for at least one minute in clean tap water with one teaspoon of bleach per gallon of water.
