COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man called Boone County Joint Communications on March 3 and reported having possession of child porn.

A Boone County prosecutor has charged Robert Dale Wooldridge with one count of possession of child porn.

Detectives with a warrant searched Wooldridge’s apartment on the 900 block of Spencer Ave. and collected several hard drives and tablets.

During an interview with detectives, Wooldridge said he had been looking at child porn for 20 years, according to a probable cause statement.

According to court documents, detectives found several images of child porn during a search of the hard drivers.

Wooldridge was taken into custody on Thursday and then bonded out from the Boone County Jail.

Wooldridge has an initial court appearance scheduled for May 31. Wooldridge does not have a defense attorney listed, according to online court records.
