Columbia police arrest woman accused of biting man multiple times

Columbia police arrested Sylvia Freese on Tuesday morning after officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Richardson Street in reference to a physical disturbance.

Police said that Freese became angry with a male victim and began to kick and scratch him. Freese was accused of biting the man multiple times on his left forearm.

Officers also said Freese took the man’s phone when she left the residence.

Police said they saw scratch marks on the man’s arm and back and puncture wounds on his right hand.

Freese faces possible charges of domestic assault and stealing.
