Mid-Missouri roads deal with flooding as more rain is expected Friday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: As of Friday morning, MoDOT still lists multiple roads closed due to flooding in Camden, Maries, Morgan and Osage counties among others.

The department Tweeted the updated closures Friday morning, advising drivers to check back in with the department for updates.

Several Mid-Missouri roads are closed Friday as more rain is expected to fall throughout the morning hours.

The MoDOT Traveler Information Map shows road closures in Camden, Maries, Montgomery, Morgan, Osage, Phelps, and Saline counties due to flooding. On Thursday night, the department tweeted that 100 locations were closed due to flash flooding.

MoDOT asked drivers who find flooded roads to turn around.

Boone County reported no weather-related road closures on Friday.

As of Thursday at 4 p.m., Cole County Public Works reported at least a dozen road closures due to flooding.
