Crews block off section of Vandiver for vehicle fire

Columbia firefighters blocked off the right lane of Vandiver, just west of Oakland Gravel on Wednesday afternoon for a vehicle fire.

Firefighters said the driver of the vehicle saw and smelled smoke from the engine and pulled over.

Firefighters said they saw flames coming from the car but were able to quickly extinguish it.

No one was hurt in the incident, firefighters said.

Crews are still on scene.
