Audrain County Sheriff asks for help in Antonio Jefferson homicide investigation

According to an official release, he Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad was disbanded last week after following up on over 40 leads in the death of Antonio Jefferson.

“At this point, we know Mr. Jefferson visited a local business at about 11: 30 a.m. on December 12, 2017, and at about 12:02 p.m., he was found along Audrain Road 913 with injuries that resulted in his death,” reads the release. “At the scene with Mr. Jefferson, we also found his brother’s 2001, black Pontiac Gran Prix passenger car, which Mr. Jefferson was driving in, alone, when he was observed at 11:30 a.m. The time between 11:30 a.m. and 12:02 p.m. are in question.”

The community is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-392-TIPS with any information.
