Power outage affected southeast Columbia
Nearly 2,000 people were without power Sunday night in southeast Columbia.
According to the Columbia Water and Light outage map, the power went out at 9:03 p.m. and affected as many as 1,922 customers. The power was restored in about 90 minutes.
The outage covered an area from Rogers Street to the north, Grindstone Parkway to the south, Providence Street to the west and Old Highway 63 to the east.
It also covered the entirety of MU campus, however ABC 17 News crews did see street lights working around parts of campus.
Columbia Water and Light had a crew assigned to an area near Grindstone Parkway and Ashland Road.
Multiple traffic signals were affected by the outage. Columbia police officers were directing traffic in the intersection of Stadium Boulevard and Rock Quarry Road. The Stadium and Ashland Road intersection and the College Avenue and Ashland Road intersection also had traffic lights out.
