Warrants issued in Morgan County Jail sex case

Warrants have been issued for the three individuals that were accused of being involved in the Morgan County jail sex case.

According to public court records, a $30,000 bond has been issued for the nurse who was accused of having sex with an inmate. ABC17 previously reported that Janet Phillips admitted to investigators that she had sex with inmate Vernon Parker.

Phillips told deputies that she believed she was pregnant by Parker and texted a photograph of a positive pregnancy test to former Morgan County Detention Officer Elizabeth Knipp.

According to public court records, a $20,000 bond has been issued for Knipp.

Knipp alleged that former Detention Officer Robert Hoover was also aware of the affair between Phillips and Parker.
