Callaway County deputies arrest felon after responding to a disturbance with weapon

Callaway County deputies arrested Gordon Weathers, 57, on Monday after officers responded to a disturbance with a weapon in the 1100 block of South Summit Drive.

Deputies said after investigation, it was determined that Weathers was allegedly armed and had left the residence.

Officers said they were able to come in contact with Weathers near U.S. Highway 63 in south Callaway County where he was possessing a firearm. Weathers has a past felony conviction from Greene County.

Weathers faces possible charges of domestic assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Deputies said Weathers is currently being held in the Callaway County Jail without bond.

The investigation is on-going.
