Driver in deadly head-on collision pleads guilty to involuntary manslaughter
Carol Elwyn, the driver in the deadly 2016 Highway 54 collision, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and assault on Friday.
The collision happened shortly before midnight on Highway 54 at Walnut Grove Road. According to investigators, Elwyn was drunk and driving the wrong way when she hit a car head-on.
Travis Davolt and Dominic Delong were killed in the crash.
According to public court records, Elwyn will serve 15 years for each count of manslaughter and 7 for her assault charge. She will serve each sentence concurrently.
