Woman charged with burglary after breaking into house, stealing laptop and keys to car
A Boone County woman has been charged with burglary and property damage after police responded to the 7000 block of Rangeline Road for reports of a burglary in progress.
According to the probable cause statement, the victim said Anthony Stull and Meggan Nickerson came to his residence and got in a verbal altercation about a vehicle.
Deputies said Stull assaulted and caused injuries to the victim.
The victim told officers Nickerson broke the glass window of the door with a piece of wood, entered the residence and broke several items.
Officers said when Nickerson and Stull were leaving, they broke the back window and windshield out of the victim’s truck and scratched the paint in several places.
According to the probable cause statement, the damage is estimated to exceed $1,500.
Deputies said Nickerson and Stull also took a laptop and the victim’s keys to his car and house.
Nickerson and Stull fled the area, officers said.
