Columbia woman arrested for driving without a license, possession of drugs, stolen firearms

On Nov. 24, Columbia police officers saw Courteney Cox driving her vehicle north on Keene Street near I-70 Drive Southeast and cut through a parking lot to avoid a traffic control device.

According to the official release, the officer performed a traffic stop and she informed the officer she didn’t have a drivers license. During the traffic stop, a Boone County K9 arrived on the scene and the K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs within the vehicle.

An officer found two firearms in Cox’s purse. The officer ran the firearms through Joint Communications and both came back as being reported stolen.

The release goes on to say that as the officer further searched Cox’s purse, the officer located a marijuana pipe and marijuana grinder. The officer continued to search the vehicle and found a computer bag. Inside of the bag was a mirror with residue on it that tested positive for methamphetamine. The officer searched Cox and located a methamphetamine pipe in her boot.

Cox was arrested for two counts of felony stealing, operating a motor vehicle without a proper license, misdemeanor possession of controlled substance, felony use or possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
