Mild weekend ahead

TONIGHT: A cold front will move through, bringing clouds through early evening. A few sprinkles are possible but most areas will stay dry. Clouds will clear after midnight as temperatures gradually drop into the low 40s by daybreak. Winds will shift out of the northwest up to 10 mph by the morning with wind chills in the upper 30s.

SATURDAY: The weekend will start off with pleasant weather and abundant sunshine. It will be mild as high temperatures reach the upper 50s Saturday, about 10 degrees above average. Winds will come in from the north, shifting to the west at 4-8 mph.

EXTENDED: The dry, mild weather continues into Sunday with the day starting off in the mid 30s but reaching close to 60 degrees in the afternoon under sunny skies. The spring-like weather continues into Monday with highs in the upper 60s and gusty southerly winds. Tuesday will also be warm with highs in the lower 60s with more clouds passing through.Our next slight chance for rain holds off until Wednesday into Thursday morning as another cold front is set to track into Mid-Missouri. This will allow for a slow cooling trend by the middle of next week with temperatures back into the lower 50s by Wednesday, with the return of the 40s by Friday.
