Multiple emergency crews respond to Highway WW for outside fire

Multiple emergency crews responded to the 10200 block of Highway WW for an outside fire on Friday afternoon.

According to public dispatch, more than eight crews were called to the scene.

Firefighters said a brush fire got out of control and was damaging trees.

Firefighters said they attacked the fire from multiple angles and used leaf blowers to blow leftover brush into the fire to prevent it from spreading.

Officials said the fire did not cause any injuries and did not threaten any structures.

Firefighters said they were able to get the fire under control and would be monitoring it for the next couple of hours to prevent any embers from reigniting.
