Mexico PD investigating deadly Thanksgiving morning crash
A 34-year-old man was killed in a crash early Thursday morning, according to the Mexico Department of Public Safety.
Police said the crash happened around 4:20 a.m. near Fairground Road and Latney Street. Police said the driver, Omar Guadencio Cruz-Martinez, of Mexico, was driving southbound on Fairground when his 1999 Honda went off the road and hit a tree.
Cruz-Martinez was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police said he wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
