Two Osage Beach residents killed in Friday night crash
Two people were killed in a single-car crash on Route KK in Camden County Friday night, troopers said.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. near Oak Creek Drive.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the driver, Cheryl Riegerix, 51, of Osage Beach, crossed the center line of Route KK, went down an embankment and hit a tree. She was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after the crash.
Riegerix’s passenger, Cary Whitworth, 45, of Osage Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the crash report, Riegerix was not wearing a seat belt and it’s unknown if Whitworth was wearing one.
