Audrain County man pleads guilty to attempted robbery

The Audrain County prosecutor announced on Friday that Joshua Maxwell pleaded guilty to attempted robbery after an incident on Aug. 3.

According to Mexico Public Safety on Aug. 3 four teenagers approached a victim and demanded he empty his pickets. One suspect was holding what looked to be a gun.

Police arrested three juveniles and Maxwell for the incident.

The prosecutor said Maxwell received a suspended imposition of sentence and was placed on probation for five years. He will also have to complete 120 days of shock detention, comply with drug testing, and pay costs including LERF and standard costs.
