Chilly start to your Thursday
TODAY: With high pressure dominating our region, plenty sunshine throughout much of the afternoon will warm temperatures into the lower 50s. Winds will shift to the southeast between 3-7 mph.
TONIGHT: Clouds will build again as a warm front lifts through the area, allowing temperatures to stay a tad warmer tonight. The low temperature will bottom out near 40 around midnight. After midnight temperatures will begin to warm towards the mid 40s by the morning commute. Winds will transition out of the south up to 13 mph. Some areas could see a few light sprinkles by tomorrow morning.
EXTENDED: It will feel like spring Friday as temperatures climb into the low to mid 60s with southerly winds to 20 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph. A few showers are possible during the day Friday, but most will hold off until evening and overnight as a cold front moves in. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will move out by late Saturday morning as colder air moves in behind the front. The second half of Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies as clouds begin to clear. The weekend will be cool with high temperatures only in the mid 40s to lower 50s and nights dipping into the upper 20s to lower 30s. Sunday will be dry. Next week will start off mostly sunny, dry, and seasonal as temperatures reach into the 50s for highs and the mid 30s for lows.
