Community holds vigil for missing Jefferson City teens

A prayer vigil was held for two Jefferson City teenagers who went missing two days ago.

Friends and family members gathered Wednesday at the Capital Christian Church.

Family members said Zachary Johnson, 15, and Lilly Gore, 17, were both last seen Monday night.

Shari Fulkerson, the mother of a student who knows Gore, told ABC 17 News she hopes both are found safe.

“We are just praying that she’s brought home safe, that both of them, both Zach and Lilly, are just brought home safe, and that, you know, they’re protected while they’re out there trying to figure out what’s going on,” said Fulkerson. “You know, we’re all just trying to figure out what’s going on with these kids.”

Police released a photo of the vehicle the teens may be driving.

It’s a green 2005 Jeep Liberty.

Investigators believe the teens’ disappearance was a well-thought-out plan.

Anyone with information about Johnson or Gore is asked to call police immediately.
