Tool thefts in Boone County

Officials with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office reported tools and other pieces of equipment are being stolen.

Homes under construction are the favored targets of the thieves, and two businesses on Boone Industrial Drive and two residences on Peabody Road and Ketterer Road have also been robbed, officials said.

Electronic equipment was taken late at night or in the early evening hours, with the most recent burglary taking place at a church storage building on North Brown Station Road, officials said.

Sheriff’s officials say to contact Crime Stoppers at (573) 875-TIPS if you have any leads. A reward is being offered, and those with information can choose to remain anonymous.
