Clearing skies this afternoon will give way to cooler weather for Mid-Missouri
WEDNESDAY: Skies are starting to clear in Mid-Missouri, as the last of the overcast skies track off to the southeast. With clearing skies, we’ll see temperatures climb into the mid to upper 50s across Mid-Missouri. Northwesterly winds up to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 will gradually filter in cool and drier air for Mid-Missouri through the evening hours and overnight.
TONIGHT: Cooler air will filter in tonight with northwesterly flow, dropping temperatures into the low 30s under mostly clear skies. With winds up to 6 mph, wind chill values will be in the mid to upper 20s by morning.
EXTENDED: Thursday looks mostly sunny and cooler with highs in the low 50s. Another warm front will lift north Thursday night and temperatures will warm overnight to the low 50s by Friday morning with a chance of overnight showers. It will feel like spring Friday as temperatures climb into the mid to upper 60s with gusty southerly winds to 25 mph. A few showers are possible during the day Friday but most will hold off until the evening and overnight as a cold front moves in. Scattered showers and isolated t-storms will move out by early Saturday as colder air moves in behind the front. The weekend will be cool and mainly dry with high temperatures only in the upper 40s to lower 50s and nights dipping into the upper 20s to lower 30s. Next week will start off mostly sunny, dry, and seasonal as temperatures reach into the 50s for highs and the mid 30s for lows.
