On and off rain chances
TUESDAY: As overcast skies hang around in mid-Missouri temperatures will start out mild, in the low to mid 40s. Drizzle and a few isolated showers are possible through the morning commute. Overcast skies with low level moisture will remain for Tuesday afternoon providing for a slight chance to see some light sprinkles through the day. Temperatures will rise into the low 50s as winds remain breezy out of the south up to 13 mph.
TONIGHT: A cold front is set to slowly track through the region Tuesday night into Wednesday, where we will see the drizzle become light rain and isolated thunder. Southerly winds will shift to the northwest by late morning, but overnight lows will stay warm, only dropping into the upper 40s. Rain and t-storms are possible for the Wednesday morning commute.
EXTENDED: Rain tapers off later Wednesday morning and clouds will gradually break up to partly cloudy skies as high temperatures reach near 60. Thursday looks sunny but cooler with highs in the mid-upper 50s. Clouds will increase with a chance of light rain Thursday night as warmer air moves in behind a warm front, keeping our low temperatures in the mid to upper 40s. However, another cold front is set to track through Mid-Missouri Friday afternoon with the potential for some thunderstorms as high temperatures reach the mid to upper 60s. Colder air moves in behind the front, leaving us with a cool weekend with high temperatures only in the upper 40s to lower 50s and nights dipping into the upper 20s to lower 30s, with plenty of sunshine.
