Callaway County man arrested after foot chase with deputies

A Callaway County man is behind bars after a vehicle pursuit leads to an on-foot pursuit with deputies Sunday afternoon.

Around 3 p.m. Sunday, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling County Road 135 outside of Williamsburg. A deputy attempted to stop Scott Allen, who had several felony warrants in Audrain County. The deputy started to pursue Allen in his vehicle. A short time after Allen left his vehicle and fled into the woods on foot.

The deputy called in assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the county’s K9 unit. The K9 unit tracked Allen for about an hour before finding him under a large amount of fallen timber.

Allen was taken into custody and is currently being held on no bond at the Audrain County Jail.

Allen faces potential charges for felony resisting arrest and felony driving while revoked in Callaway County.
