Columbia police investigate armed robbery of delivery driver in northwest Columbia

Columbia police are investigating an armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver after officers responded to Papa John’s Pizza in the 1400 block of Forum Boulevard on Thursday night.

The investigation revealed the delivery driver was getting out of his vehicle in the 1900 block of Jackson Street when a suspect approached him, brandished a firearm and got an undisclosed amount of money before running from the area, police said.

Officers said the victim was not injured during the robbery.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
