Maries County woman charged with statutory rape, accused of having sex with 16-year-old
A Maries County woman was charged with statutory rape after she was accused of having sex with a 16-year-old boy.
According to the probable cause statement, the father of the boy found Sarah McClendon in bed with his son.
Vienna police said they talked with the 16-year-old victim, who admitted to officers that he had sexual intercourse with McClendon several times over the past two months.
McClendon told police she first had sex with the victim approximately four months ago after a party. She said she started dating the boy on a regular basis approximately two months ago, according to police.
Officers said McClendon found about about the boy’s age approximately a month ago.
McClendon told police she continued to see and have sexual intercourse with the boy after she knew about his age and that she knew it was illegal to have sex with a minor, police said.
According to the probable cause statement, McClendon was warned to stay away from the boy and his family.
According to public court records, McClendon’s birth year is 1990.
