UPDATE: Two charged with manufacturing controlled substance after officers find meth lab in car

UPDATE 11/9: According to the probable cause statement, Smith admitted to officers he had meth on him and there was a meth lab in the vehicle.

University of Police found salt, drain cleaner, tubing, ice packs, medical gloves, lye and solvent in the back of the car.

Smith was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of school or college.

Carrie Zwicky, the driver, was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of school or college.

ABC17 is working on getting an arresting photo of Zwicky.

ORIGINAL: Lee Bryan Smith, 44, was arrested late Tuesday night on charges related to possession of illegal drugs.

Officers say they found Smith sitting in his car with a passenger in a University of Missouri parking lot.

After talking to Smith and checking out the situation, the officers said they found methamphetamine, two glass pipes with methamphetamine residue and materials used to make methamphetamine.

Smith was arrested, and it was then discovered by the officers that he had an outstanding probation and parole warrant for the possession of a controlled substance and absconding, police said.

Smith was taken to Boone County Jail after his arrest.

The passenger in the car was taken to the hospital.
