COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou softball's Kimberly Wert was named the SEC Player of the Week Tuesday for the second time this season.

This comes after Wert dominated the series against No. 12 Kentucky. She batted .857 with four home runs, including two grand slams, and 13 RBI in the three-game sweep.

This is her second SEC Player of the Week award this season. Her last followed a sweep of South Carolina in which she broke the program home run record.
