Student arrested after Boonville police respond to high school for reported threat

Boonville police were dispatched to Boonville High School for a reported threat on Tuesday morning.

Officers said the investigation resulted in one juvenile student being taken into custody at the school.

Police said the BHS administration reported the incident as soon as they learned of the alleged threat.

The situation was resolved in minutes, and the student was removed from school, police said.

The BHS administration said they did not send out an advisory about the incident to parents because they determined there was no immediate threat to any students or faculty and did not want to alarm the students.
